Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee a variety of capital, construction, equipment installation, facility improvement, and operational enhancement projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through final implementation, coordinating internal resources and external partners, and serving as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned projects from conception through completion while ensuring established goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Create and manage project budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including obtaining bids, evaluating proposals, sourcing materials, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Oversee equipment installations, facility improvements, operational upgrades, and other capital projects.
  • Work closely with leadership, operations teams, vendors, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to support project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, scope changes, and budget impacts.
  • Implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Review technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities as required.
  • Ensure projects are executed in compliance with applicable safety standards, environmental regulations, building codes, and company policies.
  • Manage contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project requirements.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, proposals, and service agreements with vendors and service providers.
  • Track project milestones and provide regular status reports to leadership regarding project performance, schedules, budgets, and key risks.
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and expectations.
  • Support equipment planning and asset management efforts to maintain operational continuity and reduce downtime.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, increased efficiency, and operational enhancements.
  • Assist with resource planning and coordination to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and supported.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and productive work environment among project teams and business partners.
  • Support organizational goals by contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering, facilities, or operations-related environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing budgets, managing costs, and delivering projects within established financial targets.
  • Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, procurement, contractor management, and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, equipment installation processes, and facility improvement projects.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, or similar design and modeling software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable project management credentials.
  • Experience managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
  • Familiarity with asset management and equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
  • Experience working in multi-site operations environments.

  • May be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional lifting of materials, equipment, or documents up to 25 pounds.
